TODAY’S GUEST
Jeffrey Munzar, Ph.D., an entrepreneur and co-founder of Fetch BioSiences, talks to students about valuable lessons in being an entrepreneur. Bio: Jeff obtained his Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Engineering from McGill University, where he worked on a wide range of biotechnology projects across the world that were published in top journals. Jeff has been thinking about how to standardize biological experiments since 2013, and has been involved as a co-founder and early team member with multiple wet-lab and software-based startups (including a vertical farming startup) before co-founding Fetch. Outside the office, Jeff is an avid soccer player who enjoys gardening during the summer months in Toronto
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Fetch Bioscience is building a new kind of search engine for scientific researchers. Instead of limiting searches to keywords or authors, Fetch allows scientists to search for relevant research based on the meaning of their own experimental protocols. Using this protocol-centric approach, Fetch saves researchers time and money, accelerating scientific discovery. Commercial labs can also connect their existing documentation and data to Fetch, drastically improving the discoverability of internal documents. By adopting Fetch, companies can increase the pace of research throughout their R&D and production pipelines. https://www.fetch.bio/
